What is Bipper?

How does bSafe work?
bSafe is an application available for download with iPhone, Android and BlackBerry phones. It is very easy to use. All you have to do is select contacts you want to be your Guardians, and if you are ever in trouble and press the SOS button, your Guardians will be notified with a text message giving your exact location. One Guardian will also be called directly. The app includes a Test feature so you can test bSafe together with a friend without sending SOS SMSes to all of your Guardians.

Why would bSafe make me feel safer?
With the push of one button, you can alert your selected contacts that you are in danger and share your location. If you are walking through an area where you feel unsafe, or if you are in a situation where you are uncomfortable, keep the app open and press the button any time. The phone is prevented from activating its screen lock, and the app will always be open.

How can I get bSafe on my phone?
bSafe is available now on iPhone, Android and BlackBerry. You can enter your phone number on our web site and we will send you an SMS with a link to where you can download the app, or you can search for bSafe in the app store on your phone and download the app directly.

How do I add a Guardian to my SOS list?
When you first install the bSafe application, it will suggest a Top10 Guardian list based on your call log. You can modify this list by unchecking or deleting contacts. If you want to add a contact that is not on this list, there is an ‘Add Guardian’ option at the bottom. The contact you want to add must be in your phone’s Contacts list.

How much does bSafe cost?
Downloading and using the basic bSafe app is free. If you want to take advantage of premium services like Risk Mode and Timer Mode you must upgrade to bSafe Premium. The cost of bSafe Premium is $1.99 per month or $14.99 for an annual subscription.

What additional features do I get with bSafe Premium? If you are scared but don’t want to trigger the alarm, Risk mode allows you to notify selected contacts via SMS about your whereabouts. They can follow a real-time map trace of your movements. No call is made.

Timer mode allows you to define a time for when you will check in again. If you fail to check in by this time, all Guardians will be contacted via SMS. The SMS will include a link to a map trace of your movements. bSafe Premium is only available to customers in select countries (USA, UK, Norway).

Coming soon: bSafe Premium+ allows you to define up to five call Guardians! This means that if you trigger the alarm up to five pre-defined call Guardians will be called into a conference with you.

How do I upgrade to bSafe Premium?
If you want to subscribe to bSafe Premium, you can upgrade directly in the app from your Android phone, or go to http://bsafe.bipper.com to create an account and upgrade there.
Remember to log in with your account credentials in the bSafe app afterwards to activate the premium services.

I have received a Guardian SMS from a friend, how can I get off her list?
If you have received an SMS from someone you know with information about bSafe and being a Guardian, it means they have put you on their Guardian list. The SMS is sent directly from their mobile phone. If you do not want to be someone’s Guardian, please contact the person and request to be taken off their Guardian list.

Is there a limit to the number of Guardians I can put on my list?
There is no limit to the number of contacts you can put on your list!
